Fayemi Approves Establishment Of New Primary School In lkere
In realization of his agenda to ensure that children of school ages are enrolled in public schools across the state, Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi has approved the establishment of Ajolagun Primary School in Ikere-Ekiti.
Briefing the Ogoga of Ikere, Oba Adejimi Adu, Chiefs and some stakeholders at the Oba’s palace in Ikere, the Commissioner in charge of Human Resources and Management in the State Universal Basic Education Board, Dr. Funke Fajobi said the move became expedient as part of Governor’s plan to restore the lost glory of education in the state.
Dr. Fajobi who represented the SUBEB Chairman, Prof. Francisca Aladejana reiterated that the board would support the governor at making the new primary school is well equipped with modern teaching and learning tools.
She sought the support of the Ogoga-in-Council and Ikere-Ekiti towards a smooth take off of the primary school, while asking parents especially those in the axis to enroll their children and wards to the school.
Responding, the Ogoga of Ikere, Oba Adejimi Adu commended the efforts of Dr. Fayemi in the establishment of the school.
Oba Adu asked the state government for more developmental projects in the town.
