The Institution Defence Cadet Corps, a leading para-millitary group on campus which is known for frequently having cases to answer in regards to maltreatment of fellow students and other excesses.
A similar scenario occurred again as a prominent officer of the cadet corps was found out to have battered a student based on the crime of plucking mango around the Cadet’s Barracks.
As at the time of report, the Commanding Officer claimed unawareness of the issue while the culprit officer popularly called ‘Fele Fele’ was unable to defend his actions.
The NUESA President who was on ground because of the case had to wade in to avoid destructive actions by students who were on ground to see to the end of the case.
The NUESA President lobbied for Peace to avoid the case getting to the security unit of the college.
The Dean of Student Affairs Mr. Khalid Adigun got to the scene of resolution coincidentally and he lampooned the culprit officer and made known to him, the gravity of his offence. He seriously warned him and the Commanding Officer against such event again which may lead to proscription(disbanding) of the Cadet on the campus.
